Home for a bit and starting a new one for my friend Sam Allan of her great horse Scimitar

here's a progrees report [just an hours work on layout and base forms]

I used burnt umber [dries fast] as a wash to get the basics and then set in some overlaid color ... well, mostly values

Did this one as my morning exercise. Fun to be "home" in Joan's studio [the place we've been meeting for morning exercises/stretches ...whatever]. Pavaroti was blasting and we timed 20 minute sessions to a five min break as always.
